    Join the Etobicoke master gardeners at the Humber Arboretum during Doors Open Toronto! Knowledgeable guides will lead walking tours throughout the gardens and woodlot pointing out the many bugs and blooms visible at this time of the year.  Is that a Bug!!!  Come find out if it’s a good bug or a bad one.

  • Spring into the Arb (FREE)
    Join the Etobicoke master gardeners at the Humber Arboretum during Doors Open Toronto.  Knowledgeable guides will lead walking tours throughout the gardens and woodlot.  At this time of the year peonies and Rhodos take centre stage and the new foliage on woodlot trees are a bright backdrop for all the flowering shrubs and perennials displayed throughout the Arboretum. This is your chance to find out what that mystery plant is and how to grow it.  Find out more about the Humber Arboretum and its lands and who works it!

  • Some Like it Hot (FREE)
    Join the Etobicoke master gardeners at the Humber Arboretum for an evening walk through the gardens.  Find out what plants thrive during our hot, steamy summer!  Why do some plants have fuzzy leaves and grayish foliage?  Can I really put my houseplants outside for a summer vacation?  Come find the answers to these and many more questions from educated gardeners bursting with experience! Evening can be the prettiest time to visit a garden in the summer when colours are fresher and white flowers heady with scent.

  • Let’s Go Nuts in the Arboretum
    Join the Etobicoke master gardeners at the Humber Arboretum for a walking tour of the gardens and natural areas. Fall is the time when animals are storing up for the long winter.  Discover what trees, shrubs and plants supply much needed nuts, seeds and berries for the migrating wildlife of the area…and the people too!

    Join the Etobicoke master gardeners at the Humber Arboretum as they wander the grounds to profile the fall colours and textures present at this time of the year. Now is the time when many plants put on their final colourful show of the season!  Learn what plants will extend the seasons of interest in your garden.  As most other plants are slipping into dormancy some hardy specimens pull out all the stops to show off their colour, form or fruit.  Grab this chance to see some of the finest natural beauty!
