Where Learning is Natural.
The Centre for Urban Ecology is a facility that demonstrates how we can work towards creating a sustainable environment in our own urban spaces. It provides a venue for education and research on urban ecology and maintains the lowest possible environmental impact. This building has achieved the LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certification, which distinguishes building projects that have demonstrated a commitment to sustainability by meeting the highest performance standards. Together the Humber Arboretum and Centre for Urban Ecology create one of Toronto's premier urban ecosystems. The Center for Urban Ecology is located near the Humber College North Campus entrance to the Arboretum.
